Hello Glenn,
What do you know about Twilio?
Is there a private alternative that can interface with the public without data being distributed unethically? That sounds like a contradiction in terms. As a coach I wanted to automate using Onboard Me, but now find that they require me to open a Twilio acccount.
FYI Twilio uses programmable communication tools for making and receiving phone calls, sending and receiving text messages, and performing other communication functions using its web service APIs.
Glenn, After all that you have taught me, I looked into privacy and service agreement and I’m concerned that my data and my clients data is at risk. They have very comprehensive documentation that sounds secure and confidential, but they are partners / interface with Facebook, Google, What’s App, telecommunications – ie mainstream ways of marketing my business.
How can I market my services without these mainstream platforms?
Twilio is the company behind Authy but is also sponsored by Amazon!! I understand automation is a convenience that we most likely will be paying for with our data.
Do you have any suggestions?
The other interesting point is that when I signed up I entered my real name, anon alias email and a Bitwarden complex password (for which I am forever grateful) But they immediately suspended my account after that first step… they clearly don’t accept alias emails. I am to contact them to activate my account.
I appreciate your thoughts on this and suggest a way to market business in the public system while protecting my own and my clients data
Thank you
