Ever since I installed Proton VPN I can’t get into some bank accounts or airline sights. My profile says the communication is going from Sweden to somewhere in the US then to me in FL. Please help, how do I fix this
Thank you, Jeannie [email protected]December 6, 2022 at 5:24 pm #16322RuthannI have similar issues with this VPN as well. I do believe that it’s a normal thing that happens with any VPN because of the servers and IP addresses. My phone voice message app does not work with it as well.
Like you, I would like to know if there’s something that needs to be done to make this more streamlined.
Perhaps there are settings that need to be turned on or off.
Hopefully, someone will be able to provide feedback on this.
THank, you…. RuthJanuary 20, 2023 at 8:08 pm #16918JGHi Jeannie and Ruthann, More and more websites are detecting VPNs and they block your request. VPN providers then try to build ways so the websites won’t detect it. It’s a cat and mouse game. I think Glenn may have mentioned this as well in one of his videos. Try using a US connection (if you are in the US) for bank sites and it should work. When a bank (or other financial sites) “sees” something from a foreign country it has a good chance of being blocked. Same concept can also help with other sites that block you. If you are using Proton VPN, they also have a Stealth option in the settings. Glenn has also talked about this. It is hit or miss but overall it has been working well for me. Again, this is a cat and mouse game. Sometimes these options won’t work and you just need to not use the VPN for that interaction. I hope this helps you in some way.
