Custom Domain Host

Is there a reason you picked GoDaddy instead of using domain.com or Namecheap or any other hosts of domain companies?

My further question is: Why not use Protonmail as a host? Greg Meder – You refer to using Protonmail a lot, so what do you know about using it as a host?

My understanding is that you should use a domain provider that is different from Proton for example. The reasoning behind that is if Proton were ever to go bankrupt or just disappears, you could then easily transfer all your email from your GoDaddy domain into a different email provider, like Tutanota.

I found out that Proton mail is not a host for domains or a company that registers domains, so you can’t buy a domain through them, like Go Daddy.
