Your questions have many layers and I really suggest that you sign up for Glenn’s “Privacy Action Plan” Course if you haven’t already. And then just go through the course step by step in the order the lessons are presented.
I will try to answer one of your questions here. When setting up your AnonAddy account you create a USERNAME. It will be your AnonAddy identity. For example: username “PrivatePeach” or something you like. That username will appear in the top right corner of your screen when you open up AnonAddy.
An ALIASis a fake email address (a burner email address) AnonAddy generates for you when you click CREATE ALIAS. You use these aliases when you sign up for webinars, newsletter subscriptions, courses, etc. And yes, you create a unique alias for each newsletter or shopping site, etc, you go to.
Then you indicate within AnonAddy which Proton Email address an Alias is forwarded to. This you create under RECIPIENTS in AnonAddy. This RECIPIENT will be one of the 4 email addresses Glenn teaches you to create in your Proton Plus email account. It should be the one that you uniquely dedicated to NEWSLETTERS. Remember? You create these 4 email addresses within your PROTON Plus email account under “Settings”, and then “Identity and addresses.”
Then when you no longer wish to receive a particular newsletter or an email with the latest shopping discount you don’t need, you can kill that particular Alias linked to it in AnonAddy. Does that make sense? This way you have control over which emails you wish to continue to receive.
I hope this was helpful.
