This is most likely due to the microphone/speakers being covered, in addition to the forward-facing camera. The camera is the only thing that needs to be covered. This is typically a round circle rather than a bar with a fine mesh appearance. We recommend the use of nail polish to cover only the camera. Nail polish will adhere well to cover the camera but is simple enough to remove (and/or re-apply) should you need the forward-facing camera.
Q. If I cover the lens on the front of my iPhone, I can barely hear phone conversations. Unless I’m in a very quiet environment, I have to use the speaker option. Is there a way to fix this?
