Frequntly Asked Quetion (FAQ)

Q. I use Safari for passwords right now for most of my sites. Is this Ok?

A.

First of all, we recommend you use the Brave browser instead of Safari. Even with Brave though, we don’t recommend using browser’s built-in password managers. In the Passwords, Password Manager & 2 Factor course we teach you how to install and use an independent password manager (not your browser) and how to develop good password habits. This is probably the most important thing you can do for your online security. For now, I recommend that you physically write your passwords down and keep them in a very secure place. The password should be long, complex and unique for every site. I recommend using four random words, mixed in with some numbers and symbols. So, for example, your banking password could be Purple-Solar-KitKat-Chair43$, but remember to have different passwords for each site. This is only a stop-gap measure until we get you set up properly with a password manager and other password “best practices”.
